I am an artist who wears many hats. I work as a graphic designer, but went to school for illustration.
I have always drawn and kept a sketch book, and have painted greeting and Christmas cards, but in recent years I have rediscovered the joy of simply painting the world around me. Plein air workshops in Maine (at Acadia Workshop Center) with Mel Stabin, Susan Abbott and Kay Kandra have helped me see, paint, compose and edit my work.
My favorite mediums are colored pencils and watercolors and recently I discovered how much I really love pastels. I also paint pet portraits and other custom designs on ceramics & other items.
